VIBRATORY BED DRYER
|
|
These
driers are used for drying
of free flowing powders
not of sticky nature.
It consists of a vibrating
table at the bottom of
which is fitted a perforated
sheet. Hot air or gas
is passed upward through
the sheet which fluidizes
the material. The vibration
and slope of the table
conveys the materials
forward towards the discharge
end. The material is charged
at one end of the table
and discharged at the
other end.

FLASH DRYER
|
Flash
Driers are used for
drying of wet cakes
and powders such as
Inorganic Salts, Boric
Acid, Starch, Dye Intermediates,
Vinyl Sulphone, Pigments,
Calcium Carbonate, Silica
etc. The wet cake is
pulverised and fed to
a stream of hot air
traveling at high velocity.
Drying takes place immediately
due to the very large
surface exposed. The
velocity of the hot
air is used to convey
the material through
a drying duct where
remaining moisture is
removed and the dried
material is transfered
to a cyclone seprator.
A product classifier
ensures only powder
leaves the drying chamber.

Spray driers are used
for converting slurrier
into fine droplets by
spraying the material
into a stream of hot gases.
The slurry is pumped through
an orifice at high pressure
or through a high speed
perforated rotating disc.
The droplets are brought
into contact with hot
air and are converted
to dry powder or granules
used for drying of Detergents,
Polymers, Dyestuff, Food,
Ceramic, Chemicals etc.
